MIO First Anchor Up® Systems
Patent pending.

MIO Hooks.

In order to create a safe work environment at heights, workers need to have overhead anchors they can use to attach their safety equipment. Due to the lack of preinstalled anchors, workers need to create temporary anchorage by attaching to different overhead structures. The worker that has to climb to establish the initial anchorage point is unprotected. MIO Mechanical Corp. has developed and manufactured different types of MIO First Anchor Up® (patent pending) systems that allow installation and removal of temporary overhead anchorage and lifeline from ground.

The following MIO First Anchor Up® systems are available to accommodate different OSHA approved attachment points overhead such as : structural I-beams, H-beams, trusses, anchor loops, anchor trolleys, etc.
  1. System type "W" - Utilizes a 6-12’ or 8-16’ telescoping pole to connect vertical lifeline system to I-beams or trusses by use of a choker type webbing sling.
  2. System type "S"- Allows connection to overhead structures of diameter up to 5” such as scaffolding, etc. Utilizes 6-12’ or 8-16’ telescoping pole to connect a vertical lifeline system. Adaptor allows for quick installation and removal of the wire anchor.
  3. System type "E"- Uses electrically driven jaw type anchor to create an I-beam attachment point for attaching a vertical lifeline system.
  4. System type "H" - Utilizes a 6-12’ or 8-16’ telescoping pole to connect vertical lifeline system to trusses up to 6” in dia.
  5. System type "TR" - Utilizes a 8-16’ telescoping pole to allow continuous protection for a worker climbing to elevated heights of towers and back down to the ground.
  6. System type "TA" - Utilizes a 8-16’ telescoping pole to allow continuous protection for a worker climbing to elevated heights of towers and back down to the ground.
  7. System type "CA"- Uses a 6-12’ or 8-16’ telescoping pole to connect a vertical or horizontal lifeline system to the elevated concrete structures.

All MIO First Anchor Up® systems meet or exceed all applicable OSHA regulations and ANSI standards including ANSI Z-359.1
